Buffalo Bills linebacker Matt Milano appeared to suffer a serious leg injury during their game against the Jacksonville Jaguars at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Video footage showed Milano awkwardly bending over during a combined tackle.

The former Pro Bowler was then carted to the locker room with a cast on his leg, according to NFL Network

Jacksonville took an early 8-0 lead in London and made it 11-0 before the first quarter was complete.

With Trevor Lawrence finding holes in Buffalo's defense, the Bills needed all the help they could get on Sunday.

Veteran rusher Von Miller returned to action.

But losing Milano was a big blow for a Buffalo team that again has AFC Championship aspirations.

The linebacker suffered a likely season-ending leg fracture, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

"I'm not sure what's going on with Matt. Prayers going out to him," said Bills quarterback Josh Allen after a 25-20 Jaguars win. "He's one of our key pieces on that defense and he flies around and he makes a lot of plays for us. Hopefully it's not a crazy injury, and hopefully we can get him back on the field soon."

Milano was the No. 163 overall draft pick in 2017 out of Boston College.

The 6-foot and 223-pound linebacker has played in 90 career games, recording 485 tackles and 10.5 sacks.

Milano was having a strong start to the 2023 season, recording 27 tackles and a quarterback hit before facing Lawrence and the Jaguars.

Jacksonville had accumulated 167 yards, including 51 on the ground, with 10 minutes and 15 seconds left in the second half.

Buffalo's defense was struggling and it didn't get any easier with the loss of Milano, who was ruled out for the remainder of the game.
