General Hospital Spoilers: Wednesday, August 11 Recap – Jason Rejects Donna Daddy Title, Won't Take Sonny’s Place

General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Wednesday, August 11, reveals that Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) rejected Donna Corinthos’ daddy title and refused to take Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) place. Kevin Collins (Jon Lindstrom) also planned a Ryan Chamberlain (Jon Lindstrom) visit, so here’s how it all went down on Wednesday’s GH episode.

At the gallery, Ava Jerome (Maura West) got updates on Trina Robinson’s (Sydney Mikayla) issues with Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr), who cheated with Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) during her marriage many years ago.

Ava surprised Trina by insisting that Portia wasn’t obligated to discuss the details of her personal history with her daughter. She pushed Trina to cut Portia some slack and patch things up.

At Wyndemere, Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) remained prickly over Kevin previously trying to treat Ryan without spreading the word. Kevin was apologetic, but he knew there wasn’t much he could do if Spencer wanted to stay angry.

However, Spencer relented for Laura Collins (Genie Francis) sake and seemed willing to put the issue to rest.

After Kevin and Laura found out Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) was supposedly headed to Dubai on business, Laura piped up about wanting to stay there with Spencer.

Laura had concerns about the stalker, but Spencer wanted alone time and was backed up by Nikolas.

Once Nikolas apologized again for suspecting Spencer and rushing to judgment, Spencer downplayed it and left the room.

That gave Laura a chance to quiz Nikolas about what he suspected Spencer of, so Nikolas pulled out the letter from Ryan and explained.

Nikolas lied that the dates proved Spencer’s innocence, but Kevin will still feel like he should have a chat with Ryan at his facility.

Back at the gallery, Ava freaked when Nikolas showed up. She worried about the stalker again, but Nikolas informed Ava that he’d learned who the stalker was.

After Curtis talked to Stella Henry (Vernee Watson) about taking her home soon, Jordan Ashford (Briana Nicole Henry) brought the patient some flowers and talked to her alone.

Stella struggled to piece together what had happened right before her stroke.

With Jordan’s help, she recalled watching her sign the divorce papers and put them in the outgoing pile.

Stella felt like there was something else she needed to remember about that, but she couldn’t quite get to what it was. Jordan filled Stella in on how she gave fixing her marriage one last shot, but it didn’t pan out.

As for Portia, she worried to Curtis about how long she should let the tension remain with Trina. It had only been two days, but it still felt like too long to Portia.

Jordan eventually weighed in and expressed optimism, but she felt it was important for Trina to be the one who came to Portia first. Trina looked a bit uneasy later when she stumbled across Portia and Curtis in a close moment.

By the Metro Court pool, Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) enjoyed a flirty conversation with Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner) before a make-out session.

When Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) arrived, Liesl filled her daughter in on how she destroyed Jason with a lecture and made sure Jason would be haunted by Britt.

Spencer wound up dragging Britt away and pushed her to come to his party. He suggested she could bring a plus one or perhaps find romance at the bash.

Britt wasn’t keen on finding love amongst teenagers and alerted Spencer to the “kick me” that’d been written in sunscreen on his back.

Over with Liesl again, she talked to Scott about her old romantic involvement with Victor Cassadine (Thaao Penghlis) as well as Cesar Faison (Anders Hove).

Liesl made it clear that Scott was a far better choice and invited him to attend a medical conference in St. Lucia with her, so he expressed interest.

At home, a rapidly aged Donna called Jason “Daddy” while they were in the kitchen with Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright).

After a discussion about the other mob families starting to turn against them and Jason’s reassurance about protection, talk turned back to the “Daddy” incident.

Carly suggested that Donna wouldn’t remember Sonny and wondered if Jason was OK with being Daddy.

Jason thought it’d be better to teach Donna to call him Jason since Sonny was still her father. He felt it’d be wrong to take Sonny’s place, but he vowed to protect Donna no matter what she called him.

Carly pointed out that Jason was one of Donna’s favorite people just like he was one of Carly’s, but there was a somewhat awkward vibe between them. As other GH news rolls in, we’ll keep you posted.

General Hospital spoilers say Jason and Carly’s upcoming marriage should bring other uncomfortable moments, so stay tuned.
