Is Post Malone Vegan?

Publish date: 2024-06-02

Is Post Malone vegan? Over the past couple of years, a lot of rappers have started to adopt plant-based diets and that has people wondering if Post Malone has joined them in going vegan.

No, Post Malone is definitely not vegan—and his diet is actually quite full of animal-based protein. However, the actor has been associated with veganism in his partnership with Crocs to promote a range of vegan-friendly footwear.

Post Malone’s eating habits are, well… pretty notorious. And we’ll give you a hint: they’re not notorious because of an abundance of kale smoothies and chickpea burgers.

The super-famous actor/singer/rapper/songwriter has a diet that would shock most vegans and, at this point anyway, he has not joined the several other rappers who have found enlightenment in veganism.

What Does Post Malone Eat?

To be honest, Post Malone’s diet would probably make most vegans cringe. Post Malone was raised in the south (Texas, to be exact) and like many other southerners, has a deep love and appreciation for fast food.

In his teens, when Post was really getting into music, the artist worked at Chicken Express. His free shift meals probably determined his eating preferences as an adult because this rapper loves his chicken.

If drunk food munchies are your forte, you have nothing on the rapper—who has placed fast food orders unique enough to amaze and inspire the junk food cravings in all of us. His meals tend to center around chicken—like his infamous combination of two five-piece tenders dinners, a quarter-pound popcorn shrimp dinner, and six biscuits from Popeyes.

The singer-rapper once reportedly asked for the “largest nugget tray” available at Chick-Fil-A.

While the actor is famous for many of his top-hits, he’s also arguably equally as famous for his food purchases. In just one year, the rapper spent more than $40,000 on the food delivery app, Postmates.

It isn’t just Chick-Fil-A and Popeyes that get most of his orders, Post also frequented Burger King, KFC, and Panda Express. He’s even perfected the ordering process by asking that delivery drivers leave the boxes open so that the chicken doesn’t get soggy.

Post’s notoriously funny (inspiring?) food orders have earned him a spot with Jimmy Fallon at his favorite restaurant—Olive Garden.

The Vegan Rap Game

While Post Malone certainly doesn’t prioritize vegan food, vegan style is another story.

A few years ago, the singer-songwriter partnered with vegan-friendly footwear brand Crocs. His range uses the traditional slip-on design and a synthetic foam resin that is animal-free. The yellow vegan shoes were designed in collaboration with Post Malone and featured designs similar to the rapper’s face tattoos and the words “Post Co” on the bottom of the sole.

Ironically, Post debuted his vegan crocs at his old place of employment—Chicken Express! In 2019, the artist sent hundreds of pairs of vegan crocs to be given out for free to his chicken-loving fans. Post released two editions and offered giveaways for both.

As could be imagined, thousands of fans lined up for hours to try to score a pair of crocs. Posty Crocs are sold out now, but keep an eye out if you want to get your hands on these in the future.

Several rappers have turned to vegan diets for health, environment, and enlightenment regions. Snoop Dogg, Jermaine Dupri, Will.i.am, Erykah Badu, and A$AP Rocky have all started eating vegan diets.

While Post Malone is a huge fan of fast food, several fast food restaurants have started using vegan meat substitutes to provide their favorite sandwiches and burgers in vegan-friendly ways.

So no, the Texas-raised singer and rapper isn’t vegan. While it doesn’t appear that Post Malone’s fast food cravings are satisfied by vegan food just yet, there’s certainly a possibility that he’ll convert at some point in the future!
