Is the Duchess of Cambridge Finally Feeling Better?

Publish date: 2024-06-14

It might be good news in the palace, as news surfaces that the Duchess of Cambridge is feeling “so-so,” which is far better than most women feel while suffering the same type of morning sickness she’s suffering from for the second time in her second pregnancy. While the Duke of Cambridge, Prince William, was in Malta taking over for his wife this weekend, the Duchess was the only thing people seemed to care about while they were talking with the prince.

“She’s so-so, she’s up and down at the moment,” he said when he was asked how his wife is feeling as she deals with her second pregnancy. While that might not sound good to most people, it is an improvement for the Duchess. Typically, her type of morning sickness makes it nearly impossible for her to be up and about, but the fact that she’s improved enough to get up and get around a little is a good sign.

While Prince William gave his speech at the nation’s 50th anniversary celebration he spoke of Kate. “Catherine has asked me to say how very sorry she is that she couldn’t be the one to pass on the Queen’s greeting to you all. Fingers cross she’ll be better soon,” he continued.

When he was asked to please one day bring his wife, son and new baby back to the island, the Prince laughed and made a joke. “Malta might not survive Prince George. There’s too many precious things around there,” before adding that despite Kate’s sickness, George is being “looked after very well.”

It seems that Kate was the only one in her family not out and about over the weekend, as her brother-in-law, Prince Harry, was in Italy along with her parents and her own siblings attending the wedding of a family friend.
