Yevgeny Leonidovich Dishel, popularly known as Jack Dishel, is a Russian-American artist who has worked in the fields of comedy, music, acting, writing, directing, and producing. He was born in the Soviet Union, but he spent the majority of his youth there.

Dishel is well-known for his musical endeavors; he currently plays as Only Son and once played lead guitar for the indie folk group The Moldy Peaches.

A comedy online series named “: DRYVRS,” featuring Macaulay Culkin, was released by Dishel in 2015 and quickly went popular. The show opened with more than 6 million views and quickly topped 20 million in its first week.

Since then, the series has received over 50 million views across various social media channels.

Dishel played lead guitar on The Moldy Peaches’ self-titled first album, which was released on September 11, 2001. Dishel was a crucial part of the band. In two of their songs, he also provided the drumming.

Early in the new millennium, the band rose to fame and accompanied The Strokes on their first US tour. They eventually took a break to work on their separate endeavors in 2002, but they came back together in 2008 after having their song “Anyone Else But You” appear on the soundtrack of the chart-topping Juno movie.

The Moldy Peaches were a member of New York City’s anti-folk scene and were well renowned for their eccentric outfits and caustic humor.
